Winslow Church had a busy and blessed year of worship, ministries and important events in 2025. Here are some to celebrate:

  1. Inspiring, weekly worship services, including our church anniversary and special holiday services, plus occasional attendance by guests and former members. Plus, a baptism of a little angel named Meadow.
  2. Our annual Chicken Barbecue feast and fundraiser that drew members, friends and neighbors.
  3. Hosting a pasta dinner fundraiser for Grace Union’s Youth Group to help them attend IGNITE.
  4. Pastoral, getting-to-know-you interviews with a half-dozen members.
  5. Production of a new church brochure and purchase of new welcoming materials to share with visitors.
  6. Well-attended, regular meetings of our Church Council and joint Staff/Pastor-Parish Relations Committee to manage the administrative and personnel affairs of our two churches, including some significant property repairs and upgrades, led by Craig James, our lead trustee.
  7. Our painstaking preparation and timely submission of many annual, district and charge conference forms and reports.
  8. Management and care for our hallowed cemetery, plus new plots purchased by and for families’ loved ones.
  9. A church full of families and visitors for our annual Church Anniversary and Christmas Eve services and for our homegoing service for longtime, beloved treasurer Helen “Bootsie” Sutts.

No doubt there were other accomplishments last year that demonstrate our vision and vitality for ministry and our commitment to being effective leaders and disciples of Jesus Christ who seek to grow in faith and help transform lives.
