Women of Winslow UMC donate Christmas gifts to elementary school family

Our Winslow Church’s United Methodist Women’s Society made their annual Christmas gifts to a family supported by Winslow Township’s Elementary School #1 in December.

“We have had a partnership with the school nurse, Jennifer Trail, who identifies families in need,” said Theresa Colligon. “We started out with just a single child, but this tradition has grown into adopting a full family for gifts.”

The chosen family this year included three children and their father. The women collect funds for donations during their meetings. “And now several other families also contribute, some anonymously, to help us make the pile of gifts something really special,” said Colligon.
